Capital One Venture - Best Everyday Spend!

Let’s be real: not every purchase fits into a bonus category like dining or groceries. That’s where the Capital One Venture Card shines. If you’re serious about maximizing your points on every single swipe, this is one of the best tools in our travel-hacking toolkit.

2x Points on Everything (Seriously)

The Capital One Venture card gives you 2x miles on every single purchase. It doesn’t matter if you’re buying coffee, concert tickets, tires, or tax payments—you’re getting rewarded.

For just $95 a year, this card is incredibly easy to justify, especially with the current welcome offer:

• 75,000 bonus miles after meeting the minimum spend

• $250 travel credit through the Capital One Travel portal

That’s basically two years of card ownership paid for you, before you even start earning miles.

We think of the Venture card as the perfect "catch-all" card. If a purchase doesn't fall under one of our 4x or 5x point categories with another card, it gets put on this.

Lounge Access (and It's Getting Better)

While lounge access is still limited, the Venture card gives you two free visits per year to Capital One Lounges (currently in Dallas, Denver, and Dulles). Capital One Offers: The Hidden Portal

If you have a Capital One card or bank account, you get access to Capital One Offers (not to be confused with Capital One Shopping). This is a separate shopping portal inside the Capital One app or online account dashboard.

We’ve seen some wild deals in there, including:
